Have you had this conversation?? 🤦♀️ After gallbladder removal surgery millions of people are plagued with major digestive issues, running to the bathroom after meals, fatigue and weight gain.
The reason is, your gallbladder actually does A LOT of jobs!
✅Digesting foods
✅Breaking down fats
✅Nutrient absorption
✅Metabolizing fat for weight loss
✅Storing bile
✅Estrogen metabolism
✅Thyroid hormone conversion
…And more!
When you no longer have a gallbladder you don’t have enough bile salts and these functions are compromised, causing life altering symptoms like diarrhea, stomach pain, weight gain and hormone imbalances.
Sadly, most people are never told how to properly support their body after surgery to minimize these issues.
Here are 4 things to start doing immediately:
1. Add a gallbladder support supplement that contains bile salts! This will be the most important thing you can do and you will have to do it long term to replace the bile salts that are no longer stored in your gallbladder

2. Increase fiber intake. Aim for 30 grams of fiber per day to help digestion and hormone detox. Add foods like apples, pears, avocados, sweet potatoes and berries everyday.
3. Continue to eat healthy fats (for brain health and cellular energy), but spread them out in smaller portions throughout the day (and take your gallbladder support with them!). Post-gallbladder removal, the liver still produces bile, but instead of being stored, it’s now directly released into the small intestine. This may lead to more rapid digestion, especially of fatty foods, and it could potentially cause diarrhea or discomfort, particularly after meals high in fat content.
4. Drink dandelion root tea. Dandelion has been shown to help bile production and support liver function. Both essential post gallbladder removal.
