With the winter weather approaching our area, we have made the decision to close the office on Monday 1/26/2026, While we are hoping to reopen on Tuesday that is still uncertain at this time. If we do need to close on Tuesday someone will reach out to you to reschedule your appointment.

I am writing to share information about a job opening at Rockbridge Health. We are seeking someone to join our team in the position of front desk operations. We are a very busy internal medicine and pediatrics office.

Job duties would include, but are not limited to, scheduling patients, phone communications with patients, nurses, and physicians, verifying insurances and appointments, and scanning private documents into patient charts. Maintaining the utmost privacy and consideration for our patients is essential, and all HIPAA guidelines must be followed.

We are beyond thrilled to announce:

As of August 1st, Dr. Zachary "Zack" Dubit will join local internal medicine and pediatrics practice Rockbridge Health.
Dr. Zack Dubit, born and raised in Rockbridge County, is delighted to return to his home town and enter into practice with his parents Drs. Patricia Schirmer and Scott Dubit; along with Dr. Carola Tanna.
Zack was lucky enough to attend Effinger Elementary, and learn how to make apple butter under the tutelage of J.D. Clemmer. After graduating from Rockbridge County High school, Zack studied biochemistry and math at Washington and Lee University. He also got to perform aerial dance on Wilson Hall.
Dr Dubit Continued his education at Eastern Virginia Medical School, including a month long rotation on Tangier Island. The younger Dr. Dubit completed a four year combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Arizona Phoenix. In addition to rotations in big city hospitals, Dr. Zack spent one month in Wrangell, Alaska, and another in Payson, Arizona.
When not in office, Zack takes advantage of the natural beauty and rich culture of Rockbridge County, He can often be found hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains, caring for his family's bee hives, or enjoying local bluegrass music.
