Our villagers had an absolute blast painting Christmas wreaths using a variety of creative “brushes”! 🎄🎨 From sponges to pine branches, everyone got to experiment, laugh, and make something beautifully unique.

👑 After receiving 58 wonderful name suggestions, we are delighted to officially introduce…Sir Sayre, Duke of Compassion.

Thanks to the creativity and enthusiasm of our residents, staff, and visitors, our beautifully painted nutcracker—lovingly inspired by the colors, spirit, and mission of Sayre Christian Village—now has a name!

💙 Sir Sayre reflects who we are as a community and what we stand for. His name honors the legacy and ministry of Sayre Christian Village, while the title “Sir” evokes service, faithfulness, and a gentle sense of guardianship—values that align closely with our mission to provide hope, housing, and healthcare.

His name also gives a subtle nod to our Camelot Drive home and the timeless spirit of Christmas.

Sir Sayre will stand as a joyful reminder throughout the season—and for many Christmases to come—of the care, compassion, and sense of community that make Sayre such a special place.

Thank you to everyone who submitted a name and helped bring Sir Sayre to life. Special thank you to CEO Karen Venis for hand-painting our mascot! Look at the detail! We hope he brings smiles, conversation, and a bit of Christmas cheer to all who pass by him.

🎄✨ Joy of Giving Christmas Workshop! ✨🎁
We were thrilled to welcome guests from the Red Mile Homemakers, Bluegrass Quilt Guild, and Gainsway Homemakers for their wonderful “Joy of Giving” Christmas workshop!

Our villagers had the special opportunity to choose gifts for their loved ones free of charge and even have them beautifully wrapped by the talented members of these groups. 💝
