A familiar face, making a difference for maternal health in Ky! Check it out.

Today, Dr. Alisha Morgan CNM and Dr. Dee Polito CNM represented the heart of Kentucky midwifery at the Ky Maternal Mortality Review Committee meeting in Frankfort.

While this work can be heavy, it’s vital — and it underscores a simple truth: Midwives must be at every table where policy, data, and decisions about maternal health are made.

Midwives bring a unique lens — one grounded in evidence, compassion, prevention, and partnership. Every discussion about improving outcomes for mothers and babies is stronger when a midwife’s voice is included.

Let’s continue to champion the presence of midwives not just at the bedside, but also in the boardroom, the classroom, and the legislature.
Because when midwives lead, mothers live.

Watch us grow.
