Cara Tuthill, Clinic Director at our Murfreesboro South clinic, presented today on Driving Work Ability and the Benefit of Driver Evaluations at this month's Mid-South Workers' Compensation Association meeting. She spoke with nurse case managers, employers, and attorneys about key topics, including cognitive assessment tools and brake reaction time, and how these support a safe return to work and independence. 👏

Joining her were Arin Lara and Dan Headrick from our Marketing Team to help represent STAR. Dan highlighted our Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy services, showcasing how our team supports patients at every stage of their recovery. 💪

What’s the difference between Occupational Therapy (OT) and Physical Therapy (PT)? 🤔

OT and PT both help you recover, reduce pain, and regain independence, but they focus on different parts of your recovery journey.

👉 OT (Occupational Therapy): Helps you return to activities of daily living by improving fine motor skills, upper body function, and strategies for independence in tasks like dressing, cooking, working, and more.

👉 PT (Physical Therapy): Focuses on improving how your body moves by building strength, mobility, balance, and reducing pain.

The Sara Walker Foundation provides scholarships for a deserving 3rd-year Physical Therapy student at Belmont University and fully supports the education of a Physical Therapy student in Haiti. Proceeds from the hike will go directly toward funding both scholarships.

Sara Walker was a beloved member of our Brentwood clinic team. After her passing in 2012 following a courageous battle with stage 4 colon cancer, her legacy continues through this foundation, bringing hope, healing, and encouragement to communities near and far.

Last week, STAR Physical Therapy came together for our annual Directors Meeting—time set aside to focus on 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥.
