Pam Imm recently presented to the Elder Justice Network about the risk factors for opioid overdose for the older population in SC. Held at the FBI Headquarters in Lexington, partners from around the state contend for a one-day session to discuss emerging challenges for vulnerable adults.

Dr. Imm shared data on the growing trend of overdoses among seniors locally and around the nation. In addition to discussing the importance of having naloxone on hand, she brought drug disposal pouches and timer pill bottles for everyone as resources to be shared with seniors and their family networks. 💚

Last weekend we had the best time at the West Columbia Parade of Lights! It was so fun to be together as a team, lighting up the way to recovery, and shedding light on our harm reduction van and the life-saving work it does in our community. Thank you to everyone who came out to cheer, wave, and support! We’re proud to shine hope wherever we go 💚

Members of The Courage Center were honored to serve as moderators and panelists at this year’s 2025 Governor’s Summit on Addiction. It was inspiring to join leaders from across South Carolina in meaningful conversations around prevention, treatment, recovery, and policy. Grateful for the opportunity to learn, collaborate, and keep moving this work forward. 💚
