The math is simple, but the reality is not. Over the last three years, the number of Lexington youth and their families reaching out to Youth Counseling Connection has tripled.

Since the 2025-26 school year began, that curve hasn’t flattened. This volume is a sobering metric of how deeply our local families are struggling right now.

Our staff and physical space are stretched to the absolute limit. We are working hard to ensure we never have to tell a family, "we can't help right now" simply because we lack the resources.

Can you help?

Please consider a year-end gift to YCC. Help us keep the door open for every Lexington youth who knocks.

🛑 Urgent Call: Lexington Youth Need You Now.

The demand for mental health support has tripled at Youth Counseling Connection (YCC). Our community’s young people are struggling like never before.

This Giving Tuesday, we have reached a critical juncture where limited staff and space threaten our ability to serve every student in need.

At YCC, we believe no one should ever be denied help because of cost. That’s why we
provide 12 free counseling sessions for every student, and 4 free sessions for families
who need support.

You are a big part of the solution. Your gift ensures accessible, confidential and professional care right here in Lexington.

Will you fund a life-changing session today?

$100 supports 1 essential session in a time of need.
$400 provides 4 free sessions for a family facing overwhelming challenges.
$1,200 funds the entire therapeutic journey for one student.

Strengthen our community. Fund hope and healing.

Our youth need you now.

Earlier this year, we were 🏆 honored to receive a Cummings Foundation grant, an investment that has already begun transforming our ability to serve our Lexington youth.

This generous funding is not sitting still. 🏃🏻‍♀️

A portion of this funding is being invested in strategic planning to address urgent challenges, including increased demand for services, limited space, and staffing capacity. Another portion is supporting expanded staff ⏰ hours so we can serve more teens, more effectively.

The Unavoidable Reality: ⬇️ Reductions in federal funding and intensified competition for local philanthropic dollars mean that the continuous, reliable support of our community is more vital now than ever before.

Every donation ensures a young person can access the ❤️‍🩹 caring counselor they need!

Any amount helps! Thank you.

On World Mental Health Day, we’re reminded that mental well-being is not a global issue to be solved elsewhere, but a community matter that begins right here at home.

For over a decade, YCC has been a staple of the Lexington community, providing free and accessible counseling, support groups, and community-based programs. From addressing the high number of local students who report depressive symptoms to providing a safe space for LGBTQ+ youth, our work is a direct response to the specific needs of our neighbors.

Our services are a lifeline, but they are only possible through the generosity of people like you. When you support YCC, you're not just donating to a cause; you are investing in the emotional wellness of a Lexington child, a struggling family, or a young adult searching for a path forward.

Help us ensure that every young person in our community has access to the support they deserve.

Will you be a part of the solution?
