We are so incredibly thankful for Modern Woodmen of America and our precious friend Tina Graves. She has the biggest ❤️ for children and her community. Modern Woodmen of America provided a matching funds grant for the Center. These dollars were used for a new forensic interview room. This beautiful room was dedicated to our precious and forever friend Emily Evans.❤️ Thank you Tina & Modern Woodmen of America, and thank you Wib and Jo for sharing Emily with us. She is loved forever and always.

We ❤️ our volunteers! As Child abuse prevention month draws to a close, we can’t let the month get by without thanking each of these special friends. Each of you give so selflessly of your time and resources to support the mission of the Center. We can’t do it without you! We missed the ones who couldn’t make it. 😢

We are so thankful for our Child Protective Investigative team in Henderson County. As we take time to recognize April as Child Abuse Prevention Month, this group is at the top of the list of superstars! Thank you for your service. We are grateful for each of you.

Lexington City Mayor, Gordon Wildridge and Henderson County Mayor, Robbie McCready along with Carl Perkins Center, Director, Kim Hendrix and CPS Regional Director, Mendy Harmon, recently held a Proclamation signing recognizing the month of April as Child Abuse Prevention Month. Each year there are over 4 million reported cases of abuse nationwide. Henderson County’s partnering agencies work diligently to protect victims and prevent abuse from occurring.
