Graduation is always a bitter sweet day. Excited for this group of young men, but they will definitely be missed. The wrestling room won’t be the same with out them. Congrats to Zavier, Neftaly, Jaime, Chaz, Jean Luca, Karson, and Daniel (not pictured). You guys know how to make an old coach proud! I expcect to see all of you next year at alumni night since you are now considered old too!

Had a day of ups and downs at Regions, but the guys fought hard. We qualified four with two alternates, and have one more week in preparation for state. Proud of how hard the guys fought, and ready to put in more work this week!!

Had a fun day at the city championships. Some things went our way, some didn’t. But we all got better and finished third as a team. We had people finish top 4 in 9 of the 14 weight classes highlighted by Susie becoming the 106lb city champ in the boys division!!!

Last night was bittersweet. Our seniors wrestled at home for the final time in front of the largest crowd I can remember for a week night dual. Alumni came in from as far as Columbus Ohio to see next years batch of alumni, tell stories, and share some laughs. Proud of all the seniors and greatful for everyone who came to send them off in style.

It’s Wednesday, you have been stuck at home with the cold and snow for a week and a half, you should come out to Dunbar tonight, root on the wrestling team, and help send off our seniors in style in their final home match!!! Senior recognition starts at 6:00, with wrestling beginning at 6:30. All the cool kids will be there!!!

Alumni night/senior night is one week away! It’s been a long week stuck at home with the snow, so next Wednesday the 15th, let’s get everyone out to Dunbar and send these Seniors out on a high note! Wrestling begins at 6:00

Susie with the first round pin at the Lioness! Her bodyguards were in attendance to make sure everything went as planned.

One more tournament before a couple days off for some needed and deserved couple of days off for the guys. Everyone improved at JV Regions with Tavion finishing first, Branson second, Jayden third, and Kage forth.

Decided to cross state lines and head into Indiana this weekend. Team wrestled great and wound up with a couple finalist in Neftaly and Karson! Now time to get back to work and improve upon a great weekend!

Decided to mess around and get a few of the guys some new bling. Did a great job at the first tournament of the year, Jaxon made his first finals appearance, Drake put in a clinic in his 3rd place match, Kage got his first career medal, Karson medaled for his second time at Harrison County, Chaz got his first career win, the whole group worked their rear ends off preparing for last night and it showed!

Had a fun day at the city championships with the boys squad coming in second place behind Frederick Douglass. Susie Beeken set the tone becoming the first ever Lexington girls city champ at 100lbs!!!! The boys brought home some hardware too, as Karson Shott and Kaleb Monroe got runner up finishes, and Drake Wimsatt and Neftaly Cruz had dominate performances on their way to becoming city champs!!!

Picked up a few more medals at the Jessamine County Clash with Karson Shott getting runner up and Drake Wimsatt going home with a first place medal.
