Had a nice turnout for yesterday’s Pearl Harbor Remembrance Ceremony at the Lexington Senior Center.

Thank you to all of our community partners who came and supported the event and the Navy League, Central Kentucky - NLUSCKC.org including Senior Helpers of Lexington, KY, Aging With Grace, Cornerstone Caregiving, Family Choice Home Care,Silver Lexington,Alzheimer's Association, Veterans Home Management Services, and Lexington Sister Cities.

Thank you also to the Marine Corp League, the Navy League of Central Kentucky, the Sea Cadets, Jr. ROTC from Henry Clay, Vera Stonestreet Paige, and social studies students and teachers from The Learning Center for participating in the ceremony.

And of course thank you to the Lexington Sr. Center, Lindsay Medley, and Mayor Linda Gorton for your ongoing support.

And lastly thank you to Dr. Mark Summers from UK for his fascinating presentation on the events leading up to the attack on Pearl Harbor.

I am sure I missed someone and for that I apologize!
