From Thomas A. McKean who helped create the current Autism Awareness Month: "Please understand we did not create Autism Awareness Month for you to be bullied. Really. We created it to increase awareness and acceptance, and to give your kids a better chance at happiness and quality of life. I am so, so very sorry that has been taken from you - and from all of us." Let's get back to being an inclusive welcoming community that is strong enough to include a variety of viewpoints and experiences!

💙 April 2 is World Autism Awareness Day! 💙

Let’s come together to celebrate the strengths, voices, and experiences of autistic individuals. As SLPs, AUDs, SLPAs, and educators, we play a crucial role in creating communication-friendly, supportive, and inclusive spaces.

It's that month again ... whatever you choose to call it let's have the full spectrum (intentional use) represented! If you're able to attend the Profound Autism Summit is in Boston April 10-11.

DON'T MISS Kaelynn Partlow (Project Hope) for a discussion on Bridging the Divide Across the Autism Spectrum.

Social media has amplified tensions within the autism community, particularly between autistic self-advocates and parents of individuals with Profound Autism. As an autistic ABA therapist, international speaker, and well-known advocate—featured in Love on the Spectrum and across national podcasts—Kaelynn uses her platform to foster understanding and collaboration. In this session, she will share her experiences and explore ways to build a more unified and supportive autism community.
