Meet Daniel! 👋🏼
Daniel has been coming to Sterling for four years. 4️⃣ Way to go, Daniel!
His favorite thing about Sterling is—
“I love coming to Sterling because it almost always meets me where I am. Each class can feel anonymous with the dim lights and no judgement; yet I still feel like I’m part of a movement with everyone in the room. I enjoy the challenge that each class gives me and find the abilities of the people around me to be inspirational. Many traditional gyms focus on looking put together and performance. With Sterling, there is acknowledgement of the human within you. The connection between mind and body is constantly on the forefront.”
His favorite class to take is Vinyasa. “I love vinyasa. I find it to be both challenging and refreshing and there is always something new to learn. It feels like an eternal journey with a never-ending pursuit of mastery. I love having add-ons for all ability levels meeting everyone’s needs in the room. I find inspiration from everyone in the room at all ability levels, especially those new to the practice. I love that a pose can be just as humbling to someone who has been doing it for years as it is for someone trying it their first time. The low lights and warm temperatures help to focus my mind on the present. Being in a room with no devices allowed is so peaceful. I find it to be one of the only times in my daily routine that something isn’t trying to steal my attention. The way the flow builds to an apex then cools back down is very soothing.”
When he isn’t at Sterling, Daniel enjoys doing anything outside! 🌳 “I really enjoy mountain biking, hiking, fly fishing, hunting, playing in the snow, and trying to find solitude and adventure in nature. I coach a youth mountain bike team and really enjoy spreading the love of riding bikes. I also love being with my family and experiencing new things and exploring new places. I enjoy trying to master the use of tools by building things, woodworking, and making bread.” 🚲 🎣🌳🧑🍳
Thanks for being a special part of our community, Daniel! 🫶🏼
Next time you see Daniel, be sure to say hi! 👋🏼
