Welcome to HealthFirst Bluegrass: your all-in-one health home with 16 locations in Lexington. We accept Medicaid, Medicare and private insurance.

Offering medical, women’s health, pediatrics, behavioral, dental & pharmacies. HealthFirst Bluegrass offers quality medical, dental, pharmacy and support services for all members of the family, from newborns to elderly patients, and all ages in between. To ensure continuation of care for our patients, HealthFirst Bluegrass encourages prompt referral and consultation with private Physicians and Pub

lic Health specialists. HealthFirst Bluegrass is a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides affordable healthcare for everyone, regardless of ability to pay. Uninsured patients’ fees for services provided are based on the patient’s household income and family size in accordance with our sliding fee schedule. Funding is made possible by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). To make an appointment with one of our healthcare Providers, please call (859) 288-2425. Sometimes the best moments are the ones you don’t expect. 💙

At the Midway Fair, one student shared with us how HealthFirst Bluegrass changed her life. She told us that two years ago, someone told her about HFBG, and before that, she had never had health insurance in her entire life. She said the ER was always so expensive, and getting care felt out of reach.

Now, she not only receives care, but she also tells her friends about HealthFirst and encourages them to go too. Hearing her story and seeing her advocate for others was such a sweet and unexpected moment for our team.

This is why we do what we do. Making care accessible, affordable, and life-changing for our community. 💙

April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness about Parkinson’s disease and support individuals and families affected by this neurological condition.

Parkinson’s disease affects movement and can cause symptoms such as tremors, stiffness, balance difficulties, and changes in coordination. While there is currently no cure, early diagnosis and ongoing medical care can help manage symptoms and improve quality of life.

Healthcare providers play an important role in supporting patients through regular monitoring, medication management, and care that focuses on both physical and emotional well being.

Audrea Berrones, Behavioral Health Lead I for our School-Based Clinics, and Sherry Holland, PHR, HR & Project Coordinator, recently represented HealthFirst Bluegrass at Eastern Kentucky University’s Career Spotlight Series: Inside the Industry.

Audrea kicked off the event with an overview presentation in the auditorium, sharing insights about our work and impact. Following the presentation, our team connected with students one-on-one during a networking session, offering guidance, answering questions, and discussing opportunities in healthcare.

We’re grateful for opportunities like this to connect with future professionals and share more about meaningful careers in community health 💙

We recently completed our quarterly tour of our School-Based Clinics, and we’re so proud of the impact these clinics continue to make for students and families in our community. 💙

HealthFirst Bluegrass School-Based Clinics operate inside Fayette County Public Schools, bringing healthcare directly to where students learn and grow. Our clinics provide convenient, same-day care for services such as sick visits, immunizations, sports and school physicals, behavioral health support, and more. All children are welcome, and at some locations, services are also available to community members.
