What’s uppppp instaworld?! 😁 Check out my new space! For the first time since March 2020 I have the space to host in-person sessions!! 🎉
So excited to be joining at The Lamp-Post Center! I’m just over the moon to have officemates and a place to settle in that isn’t my home office/throw-all-the-random-things-in-and-close-the-door room 😂
Gonna keep this short today, but just a heads up that things will be changing…I’m rebranding (including a new business name ✨😎) and getting my website redone as well as adding some fun perks to client packages. 🎁
Follow the link on my profile .peace.with.amy to learn more about me or to apply for nutrition therapy…or just shoot me a DM with any questions you’ve got! I look forward to connecting. ❤️

I’d like to announce the addition of Annie Koempel to my team!! 🎉 Annie is a dietitian and certified intuitive eating counselor and just completed her PhD at the University of KY. She and I overlapped at UK for a couple years when I was getting my bachelors in dietetics so I’ve known her for a while now and am ECSTATIC 🤸🏻‍♀️to be able to offer her wealth of knowledge to my clients! 🙌

Annie believes so much is missed by focusing on weight — the joys of cooking and moving, the freedom of NOT thinking about cooking and moving, and the opportunity to explore health and well-being in all its beautiful complexity rather than just as a series of numbers.

Annie loves nothing more than talking with people about food and being with them on their journey to discovering food peace! She enjoys Pizza Sunday 🍕 with her husband, dinner parties with friends, and a good amount of peanut butter and whipped cream. 😋

Annie is ready to accept new clients…fill out the application form for 1:1 nutrition counseling here https://linktr.ee/food.peace.with.amy and we’ll be in touch to schedule a free discovery call! 💻

Welcome, Annie!! 👏🙌

Spent last week in with my fam! Vacationing is quite different with two kids 🤪 Any other parents out there feel me? 😅
Anyhow I’m back and figuring out what the rest of 2022 is going to look like for me and this business. Feeling some growing pains with coordinating childcare for two little ones…not to mention being well aware of the fleeting nature of these early years with them. I’m also getting my website overhauled and rethinking my brand because…why the heck not lol. Lastly, we’ve had some dietitian changes so be on the lookout for that announcement later this week!
All that to say…we’re still open and accepting clients, but the number that of clients that I personally see will be fairly small at least for the rest of 2022. Don’t forget you can spend some time with me in my membership the IEat Club or get the rundown on the essentials of intuitive eating in my online course Your First 30 Days of Intuitive Eating. Join via the link in my bio.
Okey doke be back soon!

I’ve been craving a sweet+salty snack lately so I made “energy balls” the other day. I was surprised at how fast it was…literally less than 10 minutes! Sometimes it really doesn’t take that much time at all to make yourself feel a little pampered food-wise. 🥰
P.S. My 2.5 year old doesn’t really like them…which I’m not sure if I’m bummed or happy about. 😂

💥NEWSFLASH💥 You don’t have to eat *just* enough to get by! 🤯
I believed this lie for way too long. it is OK to feel full and satisfied after a meal. It’s a good thing! Somewhere along the way diet culture has convinced us that full=bad and that we should eat just enough to “take the edge off” our hunger. But actually…if you consistently eat to fullness you’re less likely to feel obsessive and out of control around food.
The belief that eating is just to take hunger away also stems from a fear of hunger. Hunger is scary when you’re restricting, because it often means you want more but you can’t have more. Basically…unsatisfied.
Speaking from personal experience, viewing meal and snack times as a opportunity to enjoy food, nourish my body, and enable myself to NOT focus on food for the next little bit of my day (instead of viewing them like complicated mindgames where I have to trick my body to be satisfied with less) has been life changing.
Ok I started this caption thinking I’d make it short but here we are 😂🤷🏻‍♀️ If you made it this far…I’d love to know your thoughts or experience with this!

Have you found yourself thinking “well that veggie doesn’t count because it’s…(fill in the blank)…not green, too starchy, covered in butter, etc etc??
ALL plants have nutrients. Potatoes, corn and peas aren’t just “empty calories” because they’re also a source of CaRbS. 😧
If these are the veggies that are most accessible to you today, great! If you incorporate these into a variety of other veggies you enjoy, great!
What other veggies do you struggle with thinking they “don’t count?” 👇
