A lot of you may be wondering, What IS a Doula? Or maybe, what does a doula do? Aren't doulas just hippy dippy weirdos that only do unmedicated births? Not at all!

I see a doula as this; a birthing person's best friend!

As a doula, our role is to support the birthing person on their journey and with bringing new life into this world. Want an unmedicated home birth with minimal intervention? How about an epidural in the hospital where you feel safest? I support whatever YOU want!

Birth plan, birth plan, birth plan. Did I say birth plan? 😂

I will use my knowledge to help support YOU. Comfort, emotional support, advocacy. 🩵

Welcome!!!!
My name is Morgan Pomaville, and I am the Founder of Thumbelina Doula Services, Servicing Michigan's Thumb. I am a trained Birth Doula, servicing Michigan's Thumb, and more!!!
I've always had a passion for pregnancy care, specifically since I went through my own. Birth is such a beautiful thing, and should be regarded as such!!! When I was given the opportunity to further my knowledge and become a Birth doula, I knew it was for me!!!
A bit more about me; I'm a proud stay at home mom to my son, as well as a fur mama to many four legged friends. I've always had a passion for children, and have a history of working with programs to better help our local youth thrive!
I pride myself on my views on equity and liberation. With me, no matter what your views are, no matter where you come from or where you're going, I will greet you with open arms. I believe in developing a strong connection with my clients. I choose to take on a nurturing yet firm and empowering approach as your doula, something I find very necessary in this profession.
