The Shedding of the Snake
The influence of Scorpio energy is alive and wild in Smoky Quartz. The stone
of the shadows represents all of the decadent darkness held in the 8th house of astrology: sex, death, shadow work, taboos, magic, and transformation.
We can look at shadow work as the process of a snake shedding its skin. We notice ourselves, peel back the layers, look deep within, realize unwanted aspects, and purify and transmute them with the help of Smoky Quartz, emerging changed. Each time we do this, we summon change in profound ways, and if we do it often, we are guaranteed to find ourselves in an endless state of transformation.
