We celebrated Oktoberfest with an afternoon full of fun! 🍻 We indulged in a selection of German-inspired foods, played Bavarian Trivia, and enjoyed games of co****le and axe throwing. 🎯 Thank you to for our live polka music by Palmetto Polka Party, it made the celebration extra festive.

For our September , we’d like you to meet Liz!

She has lived at Barclay House for 8 years. Liz consistently embodies our core values by showing kindness to everyone. She is a community ambassador and serves on our Resident Council, holding a seat on the Social and Creative Lifestyle Committee. Liz helps plan our signature events, special happy hour activities, and brainstorms new ideas that keep our community buzzing.

One thing she loves about living at Barclay House is interacting with others. She has many friends throughout the community.

Fun fact: Liz enjoys playing bingo with her friends, cozying up with a book in our book club, and taking walks with her walking club buddies.

Liz has brought so much life to Barclay House, and we are incredibly lucky to have her!

For our September , we would like to recognize Chris! He has been with Barclay House for 9 months and has become a vital part of our community.

Chris is one of our sous chefs here at Barclay House. He is an extremely hard worker and always goes above and beyond for residents. He enjoys creating delicious, healthy foods that help seniors live their best lives. He consistently demonstrates our core values by offering a kind smile, a lighthearted joke, and a friendly demeanor to everyone around him.

His favorite part about working at Barclay House is our residents and staff.

Fun Fact: Chris recently had the catch of a lifetime while offshore fishing—he caught a blue marlin!
