Yesterday, our staff spirit week included a fantastic Decades Day, celebrating the incredible history of The Hearing & Speech Center as we approach our 65th Anniversary next week!

Since 1960, HSC has been improving the lives of people with varied hearing and speech abilities through treatment and education. Here's to 65 years of giving Kentuckians a Sound Beginning! Thank you to our amazing staff for making this mission possible decade after decade. 🎉

We kicked off HSC Spirit Week yesterday with Sports Day!

Our team showed off their colors and supported their favorite teams, but the truth is, every day at The Hearing & Speech Center, we're all playing for the same squad: Team Communication!

Just like in sports, helping our clients achieve their goals takes teamwork, dedication, and great coaching.

Just 1 more week until the return of Chatterbox, a successful pre-Covid program!

Help prepare your child for preschool with the Chatterbox Program! This collaboration between our Clinic and Education departments is a social playgroup designed for children ages 18-36 months to help them use their new communication skills with peers.

During our sessions, your child will build key skills through theme-based activities that encourage:
* Social awareness
* Language and communication skills
* Cognitive development
* Sensory motor skills
* Creative development
* Music and movement
* Play skills

In addition, each week includes a special Tiny Tots Talking session with our speech therapists, which provides activities that stimulate the auditory pathways of the brain—helping children with and without hearing loss build a strong foundation for literacy and school readiness.

Give your little one a sound beginning! Sessions run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Happy ! How can I prevent picky eating in my child? 🤔 One of the best strategies is to offer variety! Don't be afraid to present foods in different ways.

Think about a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Instead of the same old thing, try:
🍞 Using a different type of bread.
🍇 Swapping out the jelly flavor.
💙 Cutting it into new shapes—triangles, circles, or even fun cookie cutter shapes!
