                                            Looking for a serene environment and a place to pause, restore balance and connect? Join us on Thursdays from 9:15-10:15am for Yin Yoga at House 403.
 
Yin Yoga is a mostly floor-based practice that uses props to set up the body in supported shapes that let go of muscular effort and seek a mild, moderate, sustainable sensation and last for 3-4 minutes.  
 
Yin Yoga is informed by the wisdom of both yogic tradition and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
 
In the physical body, this practice benefits the deeper connective tissues, ligaments, and fascia. 
 
The slow pace of the class invites a meditative experience with deeper internal awareness and grounding, and less unnecessary tension.  
 
Yin Yoga offers us a perspective into the intraconnectedness of body, mind, breath, and spirit, as well as our interconnectedness with the external world. 
 
Yin Yoga is useful in many seasons of life: for people looking to maintain or improve their flexibility, for athletes seeking a recovery day practice, for people with tight hips, for folks who need to take care of their backs, and for anyone looking to pause and breathe in the present moment.
