As a pediatric OT, I am continually reminded that many of the children we support require far more than a single-discipline lens. A collaborative, integrative model of care is essential.
My use of photobiomodulation is grounded strictly within the scope of pediatric occupational therapy—supporting regulation, neuromuscular activation, reflex integration, oral-motor function, and autonomic balance. Through modalities such as PBM, PEMF, red light, NeuroSage, and Stimpod, I focus on strengthening the body, calming the vagus nerve, and preparing the nervous system for functional participation in daily life.
At the same time, I deeply value partnership with our functional and integrative medical providers—pediatricians, nurses, and neurologists—who carry the medical training to investigate root contributors such as genetics, detoxification pathways, neurotoxic burden, gut health, and nutrition. Their work guides dietary changes, supplementation, and internal healing processes that I then support functionally in therapy sessions.
This is where true progress happens: when disciplines intersect, communicate, and move toward the same clinical outcomes for the child.
Grateful for the ongoing education from .kyledaigle & online! As well as the monthly collab with so many of our mutual clients ! A multidisciplinary approach isn’t just beneficial—it’s transformative. 🤍
