The study is called "THE EFFECT OF PULSED ELECTRO-MAGNETIC FIELD THERAPY ON EPAXIAL PAIN IN SPORT HORSES - A RANDOMIZED, DOUBLE BLINDED, CROSSOVER CLINICAL TRIAL.

On Page 26 - 5.1 Conclusion

This study shows that using PEMF treatment can be an effective way to decrease epaxial pain in horses engaged in consistent work. The study results support the hypothesis that an increase in MNTs, which indicates a reduction in pain, can be achieved through this treatment. To further improve the effectiveness of PEMF treatment, future studies can be employed to determine the desired protocol, with regards to application time, intensity level, applicator loop, frequency of treatment and amount of treatments, that will render superior results.
