Sometimes, an individual can have a smile so bright it allows you to peak into their heart; we are blessed to have one of those people at Citation and her name is Marquita Jackson. Adored by her residents, loved by her coworkers and commonly refereed to as a blessing by our families, Marquita embodies what a servant leader should be. Her work ethic, attention to detail and compassion for her residents put Marquita into the rare few that can be considered the best at what they do, not just at their campus but in their industry.
Currently Marquita holds the title of CNA but, her aspirations are much higher. The goal is to become administrator of her own facility and I and everyone else that know her, have zero doubts that dream will soon become reality. Having spent the past 8 years in her field, Marquita has the skill set and knowledge to take the next step.
Marquita's coworkers would argue that she has the wrong goal as her cooking has become legendary around the campus. Occasionally fixing boxed lunches for our staff, they believe the dream should be to run her own restaurant. As someone that request her famous meatloaf weekly, I can see that vision. When Marquita is not caring for others, she loves to spend time with her pup and plan her dream trip to Africa. Help me congratulate Marquita for being this month's Employee Spotlight!!
