158 YEARS!!! Happy birthday to HSDM. Proud to be faculty at this prestigious institution!

Today we celebrate 158 years of HSDM! 🎉

Founded on July 17, 1867, Harvard Dental School became the first dental school in the U.S. to be affiliated with a university and its medical school, and the first to grant the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree.

Since then, the Harvard School of Dental Medicine has been at the forefront of dental education, research, and patient care—shaping the field with innovation, leadership, and a commitment to excellence.

Keep your retainers fresh, clean, and effective by following these simple tips:

1️⃣ Rinse your retainer after every use
2️⃣ Soak in Retainer Brite + lukewarm water for 15 minutes
3️⃣ Avoid hot water and never leave it in the heat
4️⃣ Only drink plain water while wearing your retainers—no food or flavored drinks!

This patient came to us with flared front teeth (which increases the risk of dental trauma), lower teeth biting into the gum behind the upper front teeth, and a narrow upper jaw which can impact breathing. Through customized orthodontic treatment, we not only created a beautiful smile—but also improved function, protected the gums, and opened the airway for better breathing. 💙

Meet Isabelle! At the front desk, Isabelle loves welcoming patients and helping them feel comfortable from the moment they walk through the door. Outside the office, she’s a proud mom to her daughter Stella, a second grader at Hastings Elementary, and the happy owner of Chevy, a friendly golden doodle and Ziggy, her crazy chinese crested.. Isabelle enjoys DIY projects in her free time and is a big fan of Taylor Swift and Disney!
