Maybe a high school reunion of a class that had family working in the mine or the mill in the 70s, 80s or 90's. Most of the people in those classes as well as many from later or ealier classes are likely eligible for a Free Asbestos Health Screening due to their exposure history within Lincoln County MT. A Big Thank You to the Lincoln County Community for coming out to our Open House yesterday afternoon. It was a great day for the outdoor ribbon cutting by CARD Board Member Leroy Thom and all the people who came to celebrate with us. Dr. Bailey and his wife got to meet several of the participants and screeners here in Libby and the community got to meet with the ATSDR Grant people as well. Thank You Everyone who continues to support CARD in its efforts to provide Free Asbestos Health Screenings to those exposed to Libby Amphibole Asbestos while living, working or recreating within Lincoln County MT at least 10 years ago. Did you kow CARD does Long Distance Screening?

We know many people who were exposed to the Libby Amphibole Asbestos thru schoolastic events, during the clean up period and prior to the clean up had exposure risks and with the latency period of 10 or more years, it may be time to come in and get screened. Easy for the people who still live here, but not as easy for those who have moved away, or so they might think. We actually do provide Long Distance Screening to those who may have been exposed 10 or more years ago here in Lincoln County while they were living, working or otherwise visiting Lincoln county MT and now are elsewhere living life. If you or somebody you know from at least 10 years is interested, Please forward this infomation to them to they know that whereever they may live now, the past is still with them and they need not come back just for the screening which can be done at local health facilities near them.
