LARC DVS is seeking compassionate applicants for our Client Services Advocate positions. Team members in this position should have sensitivity to and familiarity with the domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking field. Should possess abilities in human relation skills, counseling, and/or victim advocacy. Must possess the ability to handle emergency situations, which necessitate immediate decisions as well as the ability to work effectively within a stressful environment. Requires a clear understanding of confidentiality, initiative, integrity, a strong sense of professionalism, self-starting, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
This position is 40 hours per week, with paid vacation, sick, and holidays, in addition to other available benefits.
Requirements:
• Minimum two years of college studies, bachelor's degree or college credits earned in area of psychology, sociology, social work or a related field preferred.
• Valid Kansas driver's license and insurance.
• Ability to communicate the English language both orally and in written form is required, Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.

As a result, police departments have seen a 20% increase in police intervention calls in regards to domestic violence.
