My daughter Georgianna is having a lemonade stand sat june 5th. 9 to 5. 1357 Emerson Ln 45150. No charge just asking for donations that will 100 percent go to Cincinnnati Children's Hospital.
Congratulations to my sister, Teresa Matthai O'Hara who was today named the March of Dimes Ohio Nurse of the Year in the category of Patient Care Greater than 20 Years. She is very much deserving of this professional recognition as she excels caring for patients with cystic fibrosis at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. She also just celebrated her 35 year anniversary working there. Please join me in congratulating her.
Thanks for taking good care of us!
Thanks to the nurses that took care of our little guy last night after he busted his forehead open and had to get stitches.

Definitely not the way we thought our evening would go, and none of it was fun, but they were awesome in the midst of everything and helped calm our little dude down with a perfectly-timed promise of a popsicle.

His older sister was also pleasantly surprised that instead of being in bed, she was having a cherry popsicle at 9:15pm

Thanks again for helping a rough evening be a little easier on everyone. Stay safe!
We had a wonderful experience at Cincinnati Childrens hospital Liberty Campus on 11/3/19

Our entire experience was phenomenal. As new parents when you hear your 3 month old child has something wrong you are terrified and you fear the worst.

We are from out of state, we saw the doctors at our local hospital in Kentucky and we felt really uncomfortable and uneasy about having the surgery there so we did our research and found that Cincinnati Children’s was a top ranking hospital in the country for children’s urology so we opted for a second opinion.

We were referred to Dr Minevich, with urology he was very knowledgeable, confident, he had the experience that we were looking for and he explained everything in detail to us he even took time to draw pictures of the procedure to help us understand what needed to be done. We could not of dreamed that we would of found a better physician. He is top notch!

Scheduling surgery was fast and easy, the lady who called me to pre-register made me feel at ease she told me words I will never forget “we will take great care of your son, don’t worry” As a parent you can’t help but to worry and her kind words stayed on my mind and helped me get through the weeks waiting for his surgery.

When we arrived at the hospital on surgery day , registration was fast, the girls were friendly. They explained everything.

Our nurse in pre-op was Della RN she was amazing she spent time with us. She was easy to talk with, she treated us like family! She assured us that everything was going to be okay! She even gave us a book to take home to our other 2 year old son.

The anesthesiologist RN came in, I can’t remember her name she was wearing a denim skirt, she throughly examined our 3 month old to make sure he was ready for surgery. She took time to sit with us and held him in her arms. She was great!

We turned our son over to Dr Minevich and the anesthesia team, for surgery once again they told us that they would take good care of our son. After surgery Dr. Minevich came in and explained the procedure to us. He was very personable. He was nothing short of amazing!!

We were taken quickly to recovery where Ginny RN took great care of us. She explained everything we needed to do once we went home. She discharged us in a timely manner and even took the time out of her day to walk us to the pharmacy.

The team at Cincinnati Children’s was great. I work in healthcare. I know healthcare, your staff busy but as a patient you would never know this. Your staff went out of their way to make me and my husband feel at ease we felt like they cared about us and that we were family. You have a great culture at your organization and its apparent from the time you walk into the facility until the time you walk out of those doors. Your staff is fantastic. Thank you for all that you do. We will never forget the hospitality that you showed us.

The family of Oaks Gentry.
I just wanted to say a huge shout out to all the staff that helped with my son Trenton's surgery yesterday! We didn't get to personally thank you all, but know we appreciate all of you! Thank You, Thank You, and Thank You!
I had my son there last night in the ER, and the team of doctors / nurses where just beyond amazing. They where so helpful and great at explaining everything to me as they always are. We absolutely love Cincy children’s. 💙

These two amazing nurses talk and interacted with my son the whole time they got him ready for his sleep study. He didn't cry or have a meltdown and that within its self is amazing!!! These two nurses deserve to be recoginzed. They seen him for who he was and not just another patient... Thank you so much!!!!
Thank you Children’s Liberty Campus! .. A wonderful 40 minutes I’ll never forget!! 🎅❤️🎅❤️

The visit by First Lady Melania Trump is taking place at our Burnet Campus and should have no impact on appointments at Liberty. But please be mindful of road closures on the north side of town during President Trump's visit to Blue Ash. This is likely to cause back-ups and traffic delays while driving through this area.

As you’ve probably heard, the First Lady is visiting Cincinnati Children’s today. With her visit comes some potential traffic delays around the medical center, and possibly delays inside as well. If you have an appointment at Burnet Campus this afternoon, please give yourself some extra time to get here. We have been assured that Burnet Avenue and access to the visitor garage will be open all afternoon. We do not, however, know the exact route that will be closed for her arrival and departure. We are doing everything we can to ensure there is as little impact as possible on operations today, but do ask for your patience, please. If you have questions or concerns, please let us know!

Come see all of our department booths with plenty of activities and prizes. We’re having a fun time at Liberty Center on #GivingTuesday!

GOP health care bill could hamstring local families' options

The US Senate is releasing its version of the American Health Care Act (AHCA) today and is seeking a vote before the July 4th holiday. Cincinnati Children’s along with the five other Ohio children’s hospitals continue to advocate for healthcare for all children, including the over 30 million children who rely on Medicaid for coverage. Cincinnati Children’s will always be a loud voice for children. The Ohio children’s hospitals in coordination with the Ohio Children’s Hospital Association, have been speaking to and meeting with Senator Brown and Senator Portman on these issues asking them to protect kids. Our patients need adequate and accessible healthcare coverage – watch the clip below and help us spread it broadly so more people understand what’s at stake.
