Meet Liberty: President and Funeral Director Brad Holtzclaw has been part of our family’s mission since he was seven years old. As a third-generation funeral director, he learned from his father and grandfather the profound importance of compassionate, personal service.

Brad’s commitment to our community is rooted in his own Liberty upbringing. His goal is to provide the most attentive care, guided by the principles he’s carried since childhood. He also founded Holtzclaw Custom Memorials in 2009, extending our family’s service to monuments and bronze.

Beyond his work at the funeral home, Brad is a dedicated member of the Liberty Lions Club, Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, and industry associations. He is supported by his wife, Kayla.

We are proud to have Brad’s compassionate leadership guiding every family we serve.

Our Story

Since 1984, Liberty Mortuary & Cremation Services has been serving the families of upstate South Carolina during life’s most difficult moments.

When you come to us, we have one goal – to plan a meaningful tribute that meets your needs, wishes, and budget. Whether your choice is traditional burial or cremation, we have the options you need to design the service that works for your family. If cremation is your choice, you can have peace of mind knowing we own and operate our own crematory.

Since we’re owned and operated by the Holtzclaw family, we have a unique understanding of what it means to put families first. We also offer the quality of service you can only expect from a local, family-owned funeral home.

Whether you are at your moment of need, or you would like to preplan with us, we invite you to reach out to us today.
