After a stroke, brain injury, hip fracture or other complex orthopedic or neurological condition, our expert clinicians combine the latest technologies with real-world simulations and advanced therapies to help you achieve your goals. Your care

team will include physical therapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy experts; rehabilitation physicians and nurses; case managers; dietitians; and more. While at our rehabilitation hospital you will receive 24/7 nursing care and three hours of therapy five days a week.

After a stroke, Martin came to Encompass Health Rehabilitation Institute of Libertyville extremely weak and unable to stand without assistance. With support from our care team, Martin made steady progress and regained independence with showering, dressing and other daily activities. By discharge, Martin was able to walk a few steps unassisted and climb 12 stairs — a major milestone! Martin credited the therapists, nurses and staff for their encouragement and education, sharing, “I am getting my life back, and I did not expect that.”

Doru came to Encompass Health Rehabilitation Institute of Libertyville following a stroke with significant limitations in mobility and daily activities. Through an intensive, interdisciplinary therapy program focused on balance, mobility and self-care, he made steady progress. By discharge, Doru achieved independence with dressing, grooming and other activities of daily living, and he advanced to walking with assistance.
