It’s never too late to start a skin regimen! As long as you’re alive your skins alive and can change to look healthy and happy 😄.
Guess what you don’t even have to do a seven step regimen… because if that was the case I wouldn’t do it either! Who has that kind of time 😂🤦🏻‍♀️.
Be patient with your products. They aren’t filled with magic potions but rather

Botox is great for forehead lines but not all foreheads are the same. Anytime Botox is getting placed on the forehead you want to make sure the upper eye area is assessed. Do you have heavy eyelids? Do you use your forehead muscles a lot to open your eyes up wider? How many lines are on the forehead when you lift your eyebrows up like your surprised ? All these things come into play when you are considering how many units of Botox you can put into this area and still keep the patients happy and as smooth as possible. If you have heavy eyelids and deep foreheads lines when you left up your eyebrows, remember you’ll need to be conservative. ☺️

Following Botox or Dysport injections it is important to help ensure optimal results and minimize side effects.
Here are some standard aftercare guidelines:

Immediate Aftercare (first 4-6 hours)
Stay upright
No touching or rubbing the area
Avoid strenuous exercise
No alcohol or blood thinners

First 24 hours
Avoid saunas, hot tubs or super hot showers
No microdermabrasion or facial massages
Limit sun exposure

Other Considerations
You will typically begin to see effects within 3-7 days, with full results in about two weeks.
A touch-up appointment may be needed around the 2-week mark, depending on how the Botox or Dysport settles.

There are so many people that come in thinking that Botox or Dysport products are wrinkle erasers ✏️ and they are not. Another misconception is that it will add volume to lines (wrinkles) it doesn’t do that either.
So then why get it ?

Botox and Dysport are great for decreasing dynamic lines ( lines that you see once you make an expression like being surprised or getting mad). When you decrease dynamic lines you get a smoothing and glowing effect on your skin which makes you look youthful. ☺️

When you have Static lines (lines that you can see in the mirror without making any expression) these lines don’t disappear after being treated, they will remain because that are visible even without making any faces.

The great thing about Botox and Dysport is that it can work to reduce Static lines once you get it injected routinely.

Now how does that happen??

Well if you routinely get your Botox or Dysport treatment you are decreasing the muscle activity in the area that you get treated. Muscle activity over time is what causes static lines to form. Those lines form on our face as we are older due to a decrease in collagen, elastin and Hyaluronic acid (to name a few things).
For example if you have strong 11’s (the area between your eyes where you can make a mad face) and you get that area injected routinely the lines will start to soften due to the decrease of muscle activity.

Of course you always want to remember using a skin care regimen along with Botox or Dysport works best to prevent static lines from getting too deep and visible.

Other treatment modalities you can consider are Dermabrasion facials, microneedling, skin resurfacing, and good old sun protection is key ! ☀️🕶️
