This week on Teaching Tuesday we’re discussing what sensory is for kids on the spectrum.
Sensory processing is how the brain takes in and responds to information from our senses like sound, touch, movement, taste, and smell. For many children on the spectrum, certain sensory experiences can feel overwhelming or sometimes not noticeable enough.
Understanding sensory needs helps us better support kids so they can feel comfortable, regulated, and ready to learn. 💙
