About our Staff

Monique Torres, PA-C

Monique grew up in California until she joined the military which landed her here in NC. She decided to stay and has been here for the past 20 years. She graduated from UNC Chapel Hill, receiving her Master of Health Sciences
and became board certified as a Physician Assistant. Her background includes emergency medicine which helped her land her position with a private practice for her first couple of years as a provider. She started out in Lillington NC and has now opened her own practice. She continues to work in the emergency rooms of Harnett County as well. She is board certified in Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine. She cares for newborns through end of life. Special interests include diabetes management, mental health, and emergency medicine. In her free time, Monique enjoys spending time with her family doing anything outdoors, she’s adventurous, and big into fitness. Education

A sincere apology for any missed after hours calls that may have occurred since November 12. If you called and did not get us our system had a glitch and we are working at reaching everyone. Again I am so sorry for this as it is not like us to missed an emergent situations that may arise after hours.

PSA:
Insurance has confused patients more than ever, since we moved you may have received a letter saying that we no longer accept your insurance, that is not true. It is just under a new address. Please feel free to confirm with your insurance company prior to feeling the need to change Your P*P.
We apologize for any confusion or chaos this may have caused. We are also being made aware that some insurance companies such as Blue Cross and Blue Shield are no longer an all inclusive plan meaning that even though we accept Blue Cross and Blue Shield, we may not be in their coverage area. I would double check with your insurance company prior to coming to an appointment. We do not make these changes. This is Insurance doing without any notification to us or you the patient therefore we are unable to determine if your plan is considered an out of network until we try to bill your visit. The recommendation is to contact your insurance company prior to coming to avoid any added expenses that you otherwise would not have Had. We are working with all of our patients through this by offering a significant discount in the rate for this disruption.
