The Lethal Means Safety & Treatment Access Conference brought together mental health professionals, first responders, healthcare providers, and community partners today at the Mercy Health GRE building. ๐Ÿ’š

Attendees earned CEUs while learning from expert speakers on su***de prevention in farming communities, veteran culture and mental health, and firearm safety. Each presentation encouraged open dialogue and collaboration between mental health and public safety professionals.

Speakers focused on partnership and improving access to care. They also encouraged safe and compassionate approaches to prevention.

Therapy dogs joined the event to provide comfort and demonstrate how emotional support can help people process difficult topics. ๐Ÿ•

The Mental Health & Recovery Services Board was proud to help sponsor this important local conference.
