✨ 40 Days for Life Sees Surge in Volunteers After Charlie Kirk’s Death ✨

Following the tragic assassination of pro-life advocate Charlie Kirk, 40 Days for Life has seen a 36% increase in volunteer participation during its fall campaign.

CEO Shawn Carney shared that over 700 cities joined in prayer vigils, with many young people inspired by Charlie’s courage and authenticity bringing their families to stand for life.

Carney noted that Kirk’s refusal to back down, his approachable spirit, and his commitment to free speech continue to motivate a new generation of pro-life voices.

🌊 Healing Is Possible After Abortion 💙

Recent research reminds us that abortion doesn’t just affect the body, it can touch the heart and mind for years to come.

📊 Here’s what studies have found:

Women who had an abortion were about 6 times more likely to die by su***de within a year compared to those who gave birth.

28% of women who have an abortion later attempt su***de.

Women with a history of abortion report higher levels of depression, anxiety, and substance use compared to women without a past abortion.

The increased risk of psychiatric hospitalization can persist for up to 17 years after abortion.

But statistics don’t define your story. Healing, forgiveness, and peace are still possible. 💕

At Heartbeat of Lima, our Return to the Shore program offers a confidential, compassionate place for women to process past abortion experiences and begin the journey toward emotional and spiritual renewal.
