To Our Patients,
We would like to take a moment to express our heartfelt thanks for your patience and understanding over the past two months as we navigated through many changes in-house with our partnership with Privia Health Group.
A few important updates and guidance have come to our attention, and we’d like to address them for your convenience:
1. Phone Accessibility: We are aware that some patients have had difficulty reaching us by phone, especially during high call volume periods. If you are forwarded to voicemail, please rest assured that we will return your call as soon as possible. Additionally, we have a new patient portal through which you can send us messages directly. We will share instructions on how to access our patient portal in a separate post. In case of an emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
2. Insurance Information: Historically, our office was able to accept nearly all insurance plans. However, due to changes in the healthcare landscape, we are no longer able to accept every insurance plan. Please note the following positive updates:
o Anthem (Blue Cross Blue Shield): We still accept Anthem, but there are just a few exceptions. If your member ID begins with NJK, Y2B, YKY, or FEM, these are out-of-network.
o UMR: We continue to accept UMR through the hospital and are considered a preferred provider for your insurance tiers.
o Cigna: We have resolved the Cigna issue, and Dr. Herrick, along with all of our providers, is now in-network.
Due to the large number of insurance companies and plans available, we are unable to provide specific details on each one. If you are concerned about network coverage or have questions regarding your policy, please feel free to contact us, and we will be happy to guide you. Our billing will now be under Privia Medical Group’s Tax ID Number 883225113, which you can reference when checking with your insurance company.
3. Insurance Cards: As part of our new system, we kindly ask that you bring your insurance card and ID with you to each appointment so we can update your information. If you do not have your insurance information available, we will need to consider you as self-pay for the visit.
Once again, thank you for your understanding and continued support. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
Sincerely,
Dr. Herrick, Dr. Kreider, Dr. Stallkamp, and Dr. Langhals
