Plan to join us!

Good Afternoon Community Partners & Friends,

Just a reminder that the Spencer County Health Coalition will host the 5th Annual Mental Health Matters Awareness Walk on Saturday, April 25th from 10am -Noon CST at Jim Yellig Park in Santa Claus, Indiana thanks to our Platinum Level Sponsor the Spencer County Community Foundation.

I have attached the updated Flyer with all of the details. I have also attached the Vendor Form. Please help us spread the word (contacts, social media, newsletters, bulletin boards, announcements, family and friends)!

Our purpose is to organize a community run/walk to break the stigma regarding better health- physically, mentally, and emotionally and why our mental health matters. This event is a perfect way to boost your mood, move your body, and connect with your community! Last year we were able to provide FREE food, music, T-shirts, giveaways/ prizes, interactive activities, information/resource booths, and fun family activities thanks to our donors, sponsors, vendors and the Spencer County Parks Department for the event location. We could not do this without you!

We are expecting an increase in attendance due to the event topic. Last year, over 300 people of all ages attended this event and over 20 community partners set up a resource table or activity station. Every year the event attracts a huge crowd!

We are excited to offer a Community Resource Fair and Interactive Activity Stations again this year. We invite your organization/business to set up a resource table to showcase what you have to offer Spencer County (resource tables must be able to offer health/wellness resources/materials). Giveaway items are encouraged at resource tables but not required. The event will be outside so please bring your table, chairs and a tent (if needed).

Please let us know if you plan to offer an interactive activity (bracelet making, plant care, rock art, ribbon making, make care packages, exercise station, art projects, coloring stations, etc.) so we don’t duplicate or if you would like to donate a themed basket/giveaway for the attendance prizes.

For vendor/activity station forms or themed basket/giveaway items please contact, Davina Curtis at davina@crisisconnectioninc.org. Deadline to register/sign up is April 17th

Please follow us on Facebook: Spencer County Health Coalition.

Together We Can Take Steps to Build a Healthier and Stronger Community!
