What is World No To***co Day?

It's a day to focus attention on the global health crisis caused by to***co use, the world's number one cause of preventable death. It was started in 1987 by the World Health Organization (WHO). And it happens every year on May 31st.

What makes this year so important?
This year’s theme is “Unmasking the Appeal: Exposing Industry Tactics on To***co and Ni****ne Products.” It serves as a timely reminder of how the to***co industry is continuously introducing products and features aimed at addicting the next generation of young customers.

Companies such as Philip Morris International and British American To***co continue to introduce products and marketing tactics to target young people and keep consumers addicted to a wide range of harmful and addictive products like e-ci******es, heated to***co products and ni****ne pouches.
