Dr. Barbara Hannah

Barbara A. Hannah, M.D., a board certified obstetrician and gynecologist, is the physician and owner of Women's Center / HealthCare Physicians, PLLC. Dr. Hannah made the decision to become a physician after teaching high school and middle school science and also after obtaining graduate school degrees.

"Obstetrics and gynecology affords the best of all worlds because it allows me to perform surgical procedures as well as to address women's health concerns medically," states the doctor. "Additionally, I like being able to find a problem and have the ability to fix it medically and/or surgically", states Dr. Hannah.

Dr. Bobbi, a native of Indianapolis, Indiana, attended Detroit's Wayne State University Medical School graduating in the class of 1994 and receiving numerous academic and clinical awards while there. She completed her residency training also at Wayne State in 1998 and received the Joan Stryker Teaching Award during her internship year for excellence in instruction to medical students. It is this same desire for teaching that Dr. Hannah also uses to instruct her patients on their medical care. "Patient education is extremely important because there is much misinformation out there that patients must sift through, " states Dr. Bobbi.

Dr. Bobbi is involved in numerous community, medical and civic organizations. Dr. Bobbi is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc and the National Medical Association. She enjoys participating in medical missions and has traveled and provided medical care in South Africa, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago.
