Feeling stuck in a cycle of overthinking? 😵‍💫

With the (inevitable) post-election buzz and the holiday rush coming up, it’s easy to get caught up in what we can’t control.

That’s where a little mindfulness can go a long way!

Join us on November 10 from 4–5:30 pm for a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) workshop with the lovely Cindy Gittleman, MA, MA, CAGS, founder of Sunrise Mindfulness. Cindy is an experienced MBSR instructor with many years of practice and teaching under her belt. Her compassionate and insightful approach will guide you through simple yet powerful techniques to improve your overall well-being.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction is a scientifically supported method for reducing stress, increasing mental clarity, and promoting emotional balance. Whether you’re new to mindfulness or an experienced practitioner, this workshop offers valuable tools to help you manage stress and bring more calm into your daily life.

I’d like to offer you FREE health coaching…
I’m enrolled in a health coaching program that I’m really excited about and that will allow me to eventually become a US board certified health coach!
As part of the program requirements, I need to coach several clients over the course of fifteen weeks as I learn and practice the skills of a health coach.

I’d love to offer you health coaching while I’m in the course — would you be interested in meeting with me on Zoom 4 to 6 times over the next several months for 20 minutes each time to get guidance on implementing lifestyle changes that will improve your health and well-being?
To meet the course requirements, I will record our 20-minute Zoom sessions and submit them for feedback. If you agree to that and are excited about working together over the next few months, let me know by email or give me a call.

Our first coaching session will take place the week of August 1st.

May is Correct Your Posture Month.

What is « correct posture »? It’s about maintaining an alignment that promotes health and prevents injury.

Here’s why you should care:

Energy Efficiency: Poor posture is a major energy drainer. Your muscles have to work harder to hold you up if you're slouching.

Say Bye to Back Pain: Correct posture reduces the strain on your spine and the surrounding muscles.

Boosts Confidence: Notice how superheroes never slouch? There’s a reason. Studies show that standing tall can literally give you a confidence boost.

It may not be too obvious, but your ability to do backbends in yoga is not only determined by the flexibility of your spine. It's often tightness in the hip flexors, the shoulders, or the side body that compromises your form in yoga backbends. When bending backwards safely and mindfully in yoga, we open up the front side of our body and start to explore the range of movement in the spine. Particularly the cervical + thoracic spine. This is particularly important with the type of modern-day daily activities we are commonly exposed to.
Backbends help to reverse the effects of this hunched posture.
Worth giving it a try, or two 😉
