That's why the Improving Servicemember Transition to Reduce Veteran Su***de Act is a 2026 Advocacy Forum Legislative Priority.

The bill will help prevent su***de by enabling veterans to recognize su***de risk factors and seek behavioral health support. By educating service members and veterans as they separate from the Armed Forces, we can help them seek care, support their mental health and help prevent su***de.

The Nebraska Extension, along with two federal partner agencies will hold informational meetings on wildfire recovery April 8-10. These meetings are designed to help farmers and ranchers learn about available resources and address local needs. Meetings are scheduled 3:30- 6pm local time with a meal served at 6pm.
