FOOD FORT – Feeding Our Future

SNAP Benefits for November Have Been Paused

What does this mean for families?
The majority of families that Food Fort serves rely on SNAP benefits (formerly known as food stamps) to feed their families. Due to the government shutdown, SNAP benefit funds have been frozen indefinitely, meaning these families will not receive the vital support they need to purchase food.

How You Can Help
While doing your weekly shopping, pick up some extra items from Food Fort’s donation list to help fill the growing gap that will soon become even larger. They anticipate the need to increase their capacity rapidly as our community’s needs grow.

Donation Drop-Off:
Lincoln Family Medical Group has set up a donation box in our waiting room.

In honor of Labor Day, our office will be closed as we take time to relax and recognize the hard work and dedication of our team and workers everywhere.

If you should need to contact us, please call our main number at (402) 488-7400. The answering service will connect you to the on-call provider. In the event of an emergency, please call 911. We will resume normal business hours tomorrow, Tuesday, September 2nd.

Dr. Nollendorfs is now accepting new patients!

Dr. Nollendorfs joined Lincoln Family Medical Group in January of 2022. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She went on to complete a dual Medical Degree and Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Prior to joining LFMG, she was a member of faculty at Lincoln Family Medicine Residency from 2011 to 2021. Prior to that, Dr. Nollendorfs was in practice for six years in Lincoln. Her special interests in Family Medicine include a passion for women's health.

Outside of work, Dr. Nollendorfs spends time with her son. She enjoys painting, writing, playing with her kittens, and fishing. A volunteer at Clinic with a Heart, Dr. Nollendorfs also serves as Medical Director for the Red Cross, is active in her church, and enjoys medical mission work. After spending a number of years in the Lincoln community, she views the friendliness of the people as something that sets it apart from other cities.
