Good morning, this is your Wellness Wakeup Call! “Special celebrations often call for special celebration foods, and many are very healthy plant foods! During the winter holidays, people use pumpkins and winter squash, apples, cranberries, corn, nuts, oranges, and sweet potatoes. What healthy plant foods does your family have during the holidays?” This is an example of a Wellness Wakeup message. Wellness Wakeup Call is nutrition education in the form of easy-to-digest soundbites that take just 10 - 20 seconds per day. This resource is available to schools to read over the PA system each morning (or in morning circle if the school doesn’t have a PA system). There are many other ways to use this resource, and it comes with instructions.
