😌Regulation Station!😌 CO-TREATMENTS!😌
We often get asked… what is a co-treatment and why does my child have two therapists at once?
A co-treatment simply means your child is working with both a speech therapist and an occupational therapist at the same time during their session.
And honestly… it’s one of our favorite ways to treat ❤️
Why?
Because kids don’t learn skills in isolation.
They learn through play, movement, and interaction.
During co-treatment, your child might be:
• swinging while practicing words like “go” or “more”
• playing in the ball pit while working on following directions
• building or pretending while learning to communicate wants and needs
Our occupational therapists help regulate the body, improve attention, and support movement.
Our speech therapists use that regulation and engagement to build communication, language, and social skills.
When these come together, something really special happens ✨
Children are more engaged
They stay regulated longer
And they use communication in a more natural, meaningful way
It’s not just therapy… it’s real-life learning through play 💛
Co-treatments are especially helpful for children with:
• sensory needs
• attention challenges
• autism
• AAC users
• feeding difficulties
Our goal is always to treat the whole child—not just one skill at a time.
Because when a child feels good in their body… they’re ready to find their voice 💬
