💙 National Human Trafficking Awareness Day | January 11 💙

Today marks National Human Trafficking Awareness Day, and the beginning of National Human Trafficking Prevention Month, a time dedicated to education, awareness, and action.

Human trafficking can happen in any community and often looks very different than the myths we’ve been taught. Throughout January, BraveBe will be sharing information to:
• Debunk common myths about trafficking
• Help you recognize warning signs and what to do if you suspect trafficking
• Introduce the dedicated team who works directly with trafficked youth at BraveBe

Education is prevention. Awareness saves lives. Join us this month as we work together to create safer, more informed communities. 💙

Did you know 1 in 5 teens struggle with a mental illness and 1 in 4 college students have a diagnosable mental health concern? I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults experiencing mental health, behavioral, and/or academic concerns. I commonly see struggles associated with depression, anxiety, bullying, trauma, suicidal ideation/self-harming behaviors, peer/family conflict, low self-esteem, anger management, truancy, delinquency, and ADHD/impulsivity. I understand that growing up is hard and enjoy walking through this often difficult phase of life with clients.

Within my practice, I place a great focus on establishing trust and rapport with my clients, as I truly believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship and creating a comfortable environment. My clients have regularly described me as caring, relatable, nonjudgmental, authentic, easily relatable, and open-minded.
