Let's talk about muscles! Last week Jenni worked with our team on muscles in the thoracic region. The levotor scapula was one of those muscles. With it's origin on the transverse processes of C1-C4 (cervical vertebrae) and it's insertion on the medial border of the scapula, this muscle can cause pain in the thoracic and neck area.
Our team learned about common indicators for treatment including: pain in this region due "sleeping wrong", pain from whiplash, "holding stress", playing sports that tend to use one side, or one sided phone cradling. If you think this muscle is the culprit, be sure to let our team know!
Remember, knowledge is power! We will continue to do our best to empower our clients through transparent information. Thanks for tuning in. We appreciate you!😀
