Your mid-back plays a huge role in rotation and posture. Improving thoracic mobility can support better performance in both training and daily life.

Try some of these foam roller movements:
1. Half-kneeling rotation
2. Thread the needle
3. Thoracic extensions

➡️Move with control, breathe steadily, and focus on quality movement over forcing range.

🚨These exercises are a great starting point, but if you’re dealing with pain or ongoing limitations, it’s always best to connect with a therapist at LOPT for a personalized plan.

Enjoy the BBQs, the beach days, and the extra time to relax this Memorial Day weekend.

But as we gather with family and friends, may we also take a moment to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Their service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

“So… I heard a weird pop in my knee.”

Mental health and physical health are not separate conversations.

Stress, anxiety, burnout, and overwhelm can affect the body just as much as the mind. Sometimes it shows up as tension, pain, fatigue, headaches, or difficulty recovering.

At LOPT, we believe caring for your body is also a form of caring for your overall well-being. Helping people move better often helps them feel better too.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, let this be a reminder to check in with yourself and with the people around you. Some struggles are invisible, and no one should have to carry them alone.

Some people hear “deadlifts” and immediately think: dangerous. 🙈🙉🙊

But the movement itself isn’t the problem. Poor load management, lack of progression, and ignoring context usually are.

At LOPT + Iron View, we don’t believe in avoiding strength training out of fear. We believe in building resilient bodies through proper coaching, smart progressions, and individualized programming.

Deadlifts help develop:
✅ Hip hinge mechanics
✅ Postier chain strength
✅ Trunk stability under load
✅ Real- world movement capacity that carries into life and sport

If deadlifts have bothered your back in the past, that doesn’t automatically mean you should never do them again.

Sometimes the answer is to regress → rebuild → reload → progress.

Need help with your deadlift mechanics? We can help!

A second ACL tear could’ve been the end of the story.

For CC, it wasn’t.

Second time. Same setback.
A lot of uncertainty about what came next.

But instead of stopping there, she set a goal:
➡️ Make it back.
➡️ Play at state.

With the help of our therapist, Mallory Armstrong, she got to work and played at state!
