🇺🇸 On Patriot Day, we remember those we lost and honor the heroes who served to protect our freedom. We continue to show our gratitude through our Veterans Benefits Program, which helps veterans and their spouses access financial assistance for senior living. Thanks to our partnership with Patriot Angels, we make the process easier. As an added thank you, veterans and their spouses never pay a community fee.

🎵🎵 Did you know that music helps unlock memories? 🎵 🎵 A song can trigger vivid emotional and autobiographic memories - even in those with memory loss, including dementia. Recently, one of our residents, along with his wife, son, and granddaughter, enjoyed music together. He knew every word to every song and shared a dance with his beautiful wife. Joyful moments like this are music to our ears.❤️

This group of CountryHouse residents got some exercise in today, in the form of a nice, long walk. 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️🚶 Afterwards, we felt it was only appropriate to replenish our energy with some delicious Eileen's Cookies Of Lincoln ! We took our delicious treats back to the community to share! 🍪 😋

"My grandfather lived at Country House on 70th and O street and we were all very happy with the care he received there. After he got dementia he could be very angry and unreasonable at times but the staff there were patient and kind to him and to the family. The staff always greeted us with a smile and hello. "I toured Country House on 70th and O street and found it to be very welcoming and warm. All the staff there were very friendly and helpful. One resident was having a bad day and crying and the caregiver sat down with her to visit and by the end of my tour the resident was smiling and talking with another resident and the staff member.
