✨ Success Stories with Assistive Technology ✨

This is why we do what we do. 💙

A 7-year-old student with autism, who primarily communicated through gestalt language and echolalia, began using assistive technology and everything changed. By the end of the trial, she was independently navigating pages to request activities, ask for help, and take breaks. Even more powerful? A noticeable decrease in behaviors as her ability to communicate grew.

That’s the impact of giving students a voice.

📣 Nebraska educators—your stories matter.
We know this isn’t the only success out there. If you’ve seen assistive technology make a difference for your students, we want to hear about it!

📚 Are your instructional materials truly accessible for all learners?

Educational materials should be designed with every student in mind from the very beginning—including students with disabilities who rely on assistive technology. But too often, materials are created without considering the wide range of physical, sensory, and learning needs in our classrooms.

This FREE learning module dives into Accessible Educational Materials (AEM) and helps educators understand not just the what, but the how:

✔️ What AEM is and why it matters
✔️ How to provide accessible formats aligned with IDEA requirements
✔️ A practical 4-step process to ensure students get the materials they need—when they need them

⏱️ Time commitment? Just about 1.5 hours for foundational knowledge that can make a lasting impact on student access and success.

Let’s move from access as an afterthought ➡️ to access by design.

✨ Success Stories with Assistive Technology ✨

“This was the FIRST TIME this student had ever heard anything from that side of his head.”

Let that sink in.

Because of the right assistive technology—and the opportunity to try it—this student experienced something life-changing. Moments like this don’t just impact students… they open doors for families, spark new ideas, and remind us why this work matters so much. 💙
