Good growing: Ricard garden helps feed Manville Manor neighbors

A Flood Watch is in effect for portions of southern New England where there is the greatest likelihood that thunderstorms may lead to localized flash flooding Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday night, especially over urban areas. Not everyone will see storms, but any that do form will be capable of dropping 1-2 inches of rain in an hour.

As temperatures rise, don’t forget—extreme heat affects pets, too. Just like people, they can suffer from heat exhaustion and dehydration.

Never leave pets in parked cars, even for a few minutes. Make sure they have plenty of fresh water, access to shade, and avoid walks during the hottest part of the day. Hot pavement can burn their paws!
