Sure, happiness feels amazing. It lights up the pleasure centers in our brain and gives us a quick hit of those feel-good chemicals: dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin, and endorphins. But here’s the thing: happiness is often fleeting. It’s a moment. A spark.

Fulfillment, on the other hand, runs deeper. It builds slowly, sticks with you, and nourishes you from the inside out. It’s what keeps your cup full, even when life gets busy or hard.

Here are some holistic practices you can start today ⬇️

🌿 Morning sunlight – Just 5–10 minutes outside helps reset your circadian rhythm, supporting sleep and hormone balance.

💧 Hydration first – A glass of water before coffee supports energy, digestion, and detox pathways. Bonus: add a pinch of Celtic Sea Salt or Pink Himalayan Salt.

Hi, I’m Heather Ford!

As a Health Coach here at Movement Chiropractic & Integrative Wellness, I help clients create simple, sustainable habits that improve their health without overwhelming their lives. I specialize in whole-food nutrition, mindful movement, and lifestyle strategies that are practical, effective, and designed to work in the real world.

My passion is helping people feel strong, energized, and confident — no matter their age or starting point.

I have been coaching fitness and nutrition in the community since 2019 at Lincoln Nutrition and Fitness: Home of CrossFit Lincoln.

I’m currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Integrative Health and Wellness Coaching in the School of Medicine at Creighton University, and when I graduate, I’ll be a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach.

Whether we’re working on building healthy routines, tackling nutrition challenges, or finding ways to bring more energy and joy into your day, my goal is to meet you where you are and help you take that next step forward.

Outside the office, I wear many hats —at Lincoln Nutrition & Fitness: Home of CrossFit Lincoln, I coach the general population as well as specialize in adults 55+ and preconception, prenatal, and postpartum women. First up is Michelle Kerkemeyer: Our new Director of Operations!

With over a decade of experience in healthcare, Michelle is known for her problem-solving skills, thoughtful leadership, and love of systems that work. She’s the go-to person when something needs to get done — efficiently and effectively.

She believes in streamlined workflows, clear communication, and that every challenge has a solution (ideally one with a checklist and a strong cup of coffee).

Outside the clinic, Michelle can be found gardening, planning her next trip, walking the dog, or soaking up time with her husband and two kids.

Fun fact: she avoids scary movies at all costs, never misses an episode of The Daily Stoic Podcast, and is absolutely petrified of spiders (seriously — don’t ask her to handle one).
