The Independence Houses Memory Care and Assisted living communities in Lincoln, Nebraska. Locally owned and operated by Marsha Stork, RN.

The Independence Houses are locally-owned assisted living facilities. Marsha Stork, a Registered Nurse, saw the need for quality dementia-specific care in the Lincoln area and opened the first Independence House in 1996. Focusing on residential memory care, the three Independence House facilities (Mandarin, Coddington and Northview) were designed to provide a high quality of life for those experiencing the unique challenges of Alzheimer’s Disease and all other types of dementia. In addition to the three Independence Houses, the company’s Emerald Gardens facility provides Palliative Care for all types of diseases and conditions.

🙏 Please Keep Our Team Member in Your Prayers 🙏

Last night one of our employees was involved in a horrific car accident. She is currently in severe critical condition, and our hearts are absolutely broken for her and her family.

If you are someone who prays, please lift her up. Pray for strength, healing, and the skilled hands of her medical team. Pray for her family as they sit in unimaginable worry.

She is an incredible person who shows up for others every single day. Now we ask our community to show up for her. ❤️

We will share updates as we are able. Thank you all for your prayers, compassion, and support.
