"We don't want your life savings, we want you saving lives!"

Hi, I’m Elizabeth, the owner of The Green Leaf Tea Company.

What started as a love for tea slowly turned into a dream of creating a space where people in our community could experience it in a deeper way. I wanted Lincoln to have a place dedicated to real loose-leaf tea. A place where you could walk in, ask questions, discover something new, and leave with a tea you genuinely love.

Today, Green Leaf is home to more than 110 varieties of loose-leaf tea, along with handcrafted drinks, bubble tea, and seasonal favorites you can grab to go. We also host tastings, pairing classes, and high teas because I truly believe tea is meant to be shared and experienced!

Maybe you’re curious about loose-leaf or you’ve been drinking tea for years, I’m so glad you’re here. This little shop means so much to me, and I can’t wait to share it with you.

COMMUNITY ALERT | Since late March, six people in Lincoln are believed to have died from drug overdoses, including two today (April 8th). Our thoughts go out to the loved ones impacted by these tragedies.

At this time, our Narcotics and Criminal Investigations Units are working to determine what substances were responsible for the deaths and if there is any connection between them. The investigations are ongoing.

Please be aware of this upward trend in deaths and do NOT take anything not prescribed to you by a medical professional. Overdoses can happen to anyone.

Remember, Narcan (naloxone) can help reverse an opioid overdose. It is FREE in Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department vending machines around the city, at many local pharmacies and online at stopodne.com.

A football practice in Nestucca Valley, Oregon, turned into an emergency when a coach suddenly collapsed on the field.

The situation quickly became critical as he suffered cardiac arrest while speaking to players during practice.

Teammates reacted immediately. Players rushed to his side and began CPR, working to keep blood flowing while others called for help.

One player ran to retrieve an automated external defibrillator (AED) from the school gym.

As CPR continued, the device was brought to the scene and used according to their training.

The combined effort helped restore a heartbeat before paramedics arrived.

He was transported to the hospital, where he later underwent surgery and began recovering.

Weeks later, he returned to the field, crediting the players’ quick actions for saving his life.

Officials said the immediate use of CPR and an AED was critical, showing how preparation and fast response can make a life-saving difference.

Narcan (naloxone) reverses opioid overdoses within minutes and is safe to use, even if you’re not sure someone’s overdosing.

No special training is required. Just spray it in the nose and call 911. ☎️
